Our Story

CAFFE LUXXE

Unlike anything in LA before, we were one of the first in the city to launch the third wave of coffee. A move towards hand-crafted artisanal espresso. We have dedicated a lot of our time to help LA drinkers discover what fine coffee can taste like, and earned numerous accolades by journalists and customers along the way for Best Tasting Coffee in Los Angeles.


Caffe Luxxe has also set out to celebrate European caffe culture. We encourage you to sit and enjoy socializing with friends and family. Our Caffe Luxxe philosophy is friendly and approachable, yet technically precise without the pretension that we are know-it-alls. Everyone is welcome in our home, and we respect that you come visit us by choice.

Coffee & Tea

We make all of our drinks to order by hand, so you will not see automatic push button coffee machines in our space. Our coffee is never pre-prepped, tick the box, ice blended, or super-sized. For the true connoisseur, we create delicious drinks which are classic and timeless, following a European sensibility for taste, size, and temperature.

    Latte

    We roast our espresso in a traditional Northern Italian style; this creates our signature dark chocolate and subtle caramel base flavor profile with a hint of nuttiness, and a soft floral finish of jasmine. We have named our espresso, Testa Rossa, which means redhead due to the thick reddish crema it creates.

    Coffee

    All of our hand-crafted coffee is always made to order. For our drip bar, we use a traditional pour over method which has existed over 100 years. This allows the barista maximum control over the water flow rate and brewing time to enhance the flavor of each cup of coffee. We search for coffee grown and produced in small lots from independent farmers who are always paid a fair price.

    Tea

    Featuring organic and fair trade teas (some are Single Estate biodynamic), sourced and curated by an award-winning Master Tea Blender exclusively for Caffe Luxxe. All of our teas are loose leaf, and hand knotted to order.
